ABSTRACT: The primary objective of this study revolves around investigating the impact of computerization of library facilities on the academic performance of students, with a specific focus on Starville International School in Abuja. The study employed a survey research design, utilising a convenient sampling method to select a total of one hundred and forty-seven participants consisting of students and teachers from Starville International School in Abuja. These individuals were chosen as respondents for the study. A meticulously designed questionnaire was distributed to a cohort of 147 participants, from which a commendable total of 141 responses were successfully obtained and subsequently verified for the purpose of this study. The data was subjected to analysis through the utilisation of frequencies and tables, employing the straightforward calculation of percentage means. A hypothesis test was conducted employing the Chi-Square statistical tool. The study's findings elucidate that the computerization of library services, particularly those reliant on the internet, can be harnessed to great advantage for the acquisition of knowledge. This technological advancement presents a viable alternative to the limited availability and obsolescence of traditional printed books. Furthermore The implementation of this solution shall effectively mitigate the issue of traffic congestion within the confines of the Physical Library, thereby alleviating the monopolistic control exerted by computer systems connected to the internet and the ensuing competition among students vying for access. Consequently, the study posits that the computerization of libraries exerts a substantial impact on the scholastic accomplishments of students. The study thus proposes that educational institutions should actively promote comprehensive user education and the integration of technology in library systems, alongside the procurement of up-to-date information resources. These measures are essential for facilitating a seamless learning and teaching experience, ultimately leading to improved academic achievements among students.
