  • Every manuscript submitted to Greenresearch is treated as a scholarly asset and must reflect independent intellectual effort, proper attribution, and verifiable originality.

2. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is defined as the use of another person’s intellectual work without proper acknowledgment, whether intentional or unintentional.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Direct Plagiarism: Verbatim copying without citation
  2. Paraphrased Plagiarism: Rewriting content without proper attribution
  3. Self-Plagiarism: Reusing previously published work without disclosure
  4. Mosaic/Structural Plagiarism: Rearranging content while retaining original meaning
  5. Data Plagiarism: Using datasets, figures, or tables without permission or citation
  6. AI-Generated Misrepresentation: Presenting AI-generated content as original human research without disclosure

3. Acceptable Similarity Threshold

Greenresearch enforces a strict similarity benchmark:

  • Acceptable Threshold: ≤ 20% similarity index
  • Mandatory Condition: No single source should exceed 5% similarity contribution
  • Exceptions: Properly cited references, quotations, and methodology descriptions may be excluded upon editorial review.

4. Multi-Layer Plagiarism Detection Framework

To maintain elite publishing standards, Greenresearch deploys a multi-layered integrity verification system:

4.1 Automated Similarity Checks

All submissions undergo advanced plagiarism detection using industry-standard software tools.

4.2 Editorial Integrity Review

Editors conduct a manual assessment to identify:

  1. Contextual plagiarism
  2. Improper paraphrasing
  3. Structural duplication
  4. AI-assisted content misuse

4.3 Reviewer Oversight

Peer reviewers are empowered to flag:

  1. Suspicious patterns

Greenresearch recognizes the role of AI tools but enforces strict boundaries:

  1. AI may be used for language refinement and structural assistance only
  2. AI must not be used to generate core intellectual content
  3. All AI usage must be fully disclosed in the manuscript

Failure to disclose AI usage or misuse of AI tools constitutes academic misconduct.
